Accor and Arora to oversee redevelopment of third UK Fairmont hotel

UK: Once complete, the property will become the Fairmont Windsor Park and is set to open in the latter half of 2020.

Housed in the former Savill Court Hotel and Spa, the 200-bed property will include a Royal Suite that has its own private access to an exclusive section of the 2,500 metre-square spa and wellness centre.

The spa features numerous treatment rooms and bathing areas, an indoor lap pool and outdoor vitality pool, a salt room, and a Hammam and Japanese foot spa.

Dining facilities include a tearoom, a champagne bar and a gourmet restaurant.

In a separate wing of the hotel, there will be 16 meeting rooms and a 800 metre-square ballroom for conferences and corporate events.

Thomas Dubaere, COO at Accor for northern Europe, said: “The signing of Fairmont Windsor Park with Arora Hotels reflects our expertise in the luxury segment and is an extremely exciting addition to our luxury portfolio in the UK. The signing also underlines our ambitious regional expansion plans demonstrating the UK’s continued role as a key global market”.

Sinead Hughes, director of Arora’s construction division, added: “To oversee such an ambitious project has been particularly rewarding and together with the Fairmont brand, we cannot wait to present the finished building, which with its striking design, opulent finishes and traditional exterior Jacobean architecture synonymous with the locale, will leave a lasting legacy”.
