Italy: AG Group has signed a franchise agreement with Hyatt Hotels for two of its properties in Florence and Rome.
AG’s two hotels – IL Tornabuoni and The Tribune Hotel – will become part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt and JdV by Hyatt respectively.
IL Tornabuoni, expected to open in Florence next month, is located along Via Tornabuoni. Housed in the 12th century Palazzo Minerbetti, Milan-based architect Andrea Auletta oversaw the hotel’s interiors including its 62 suites and five dining outlets.
The franchise agreement with The Unbound Collection will allow AG Group to tap into Hyatt’s distribution network and World of Hyatt loyalty program. The independent identity of IL Tornabuoni will be retained.
The Tribune Hotel, which will become part of JdV by Hyatt in October 2021, is located close to the Via Veneto in Rome. The 52-room property is family friendly and includes a rooftop terrace.
Andrea Girolami, president of AG Group, said: “This new collaboration is an extremely important milestone in our shared ambition with Hyatt to continue to expand our footprint with new hotels and destinations. This agreement also marks significant progress in our strategy to create added value for AG Group’s customer base. We aim to offer our guests an even more attentive, professional service that is from the heart.”
AG Group comprises five divisions: AG Hotels (a collection of 11 boutique hotels in Florence and Rome); AG Boutique Journey (a DMC/tour operator); AG Hotel Consulting (for over 30 hotels throughout Italy); AG Foodies (the group’s F&B arm); and AG Domus Nova (luxury retreats for the elderly).
