France: Following two years of restoration, the five-star Anantara Plaza Nice is slated to open in Q1 2022.
The new property has been transformed from a 170-year-old hotel. London-based designer David Collins has overseen the restoration.
Comprising 152 rooms ranging from deluxe, premium and suites, they all come with Nespresso machines, rain showers and exclusive bathroom amenities created especially for the hotel.
The spa offers five treatment rooms, a sauna and hammam, as well as a fitness centre.
On the roof top terrace, there’s a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar. The concept for the restaurant is expected to be revealed at a later date. The terrace is located on the sixth and last floor of the building, and can be accessed directly via the elevator from the lobby.
The ballroom caters to 300 guests and can used for different types of events. Five multifunctional meeting rooms are also available.
When open, the property will join the brand’s existing European properties – Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort on the southern coast of Portugal and Anantara Villa Padierna Palace in Marbella, Spain. This autumn, the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky will open in Amsterdam.
The Anantara brand first launched in 2001 in Hua Hin, Thailand. Currently, the portfolio spans Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
