US: Construction on Atari Hotels’ debut venue in Phoenix, located on Roosevelt Row, has begun with plans to complete by early 2029.
Led by Intersection Development, Atari Hotels’ debut project will feature high-tech guest rooms, creator studios, an e-sports and concert venue for more than 2,000 people, a sportsbook, along with bars, restaurants and shopping.
The hotel is soon to kick off Phase 1 of its development, which focuses on preparing the site for construction. The project brings together several partners including celebrity investors such as Henry Cejudo, Adapt and more.
“We’re pressing ‘start’ on Atari Hotels’ Phoenix property, bringing our vision for the first-of-its-kind venue closer to reality,” said Jordan Taylor, partner at Intersection Development. “The opportunity to build an interactive venue like this in our hometown with an incredible partner like Atari is a privilege, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the community as we break ground.”
The hotel will bring gaming brand Atari to the world of hospitality for the first time. The property is being designed by räkkhaus, an architecture studio known for creating innovative and sustainable spaces, under an exclusive license from Atari.
“We’re excited to see construction begin on the Atari Hotel and believe in Intersection Development’s vision to create something that speaks to gaming as a consistent pillar of pop culture,” said Wade Rosen, chairman and CEO of Atari. “This project puts the Atari brand at the heart of a brand-new entertainment experience for fans, tourists, and Phoenix locals.”
