Italy: Baglioni Hotels & Resorts has taken over management of Masseria Muzza in Puglia, southern Italy, which is set to reopen following a renovation in May this year.
Masseria Muzza is located between Baia dei Turchi beach and Alimini Piccolo lake. The property’s rooms are spread around a central courtyard in former stables and barns. Some come with balconies and verandas overlooking the lake.
Two on-site restaurants offer Pugliese cuisine with outdoor dining options and an infinity pool. Other amenities include a spa with a steam bath, covered pool, Finnish sauna, ice fountain, relaxation zone, sensory showers and four treatment rooms, along with a fitness room.
Guido Polito, CEO of Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, said: “Similar to Baglioni Resort Sardinia which we opened last year, we are once again offering our guests a five-star resort that is wholly immersed in nature. The Masseria Muzza is near Otranto and close to one of the most beautiful stretches of the Salento coast. Although the pandemic, alas, is not yet over, the opening of this new resort in 2022 represents a fresh wave of optimism for Baglioni Hotels & Resorts as we prepare to launch our sixth hotel in our native Italy.”
The Baglioni collection includes four hotels (Florence, Venice, Rome, and London) plus three resorts (Tuscany, the Maldives and Sardinia).
