US: The 94-room boutique lifestyle hotel is opening 22 October and will join its sister property in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by Vision Hospitality Group.
Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown is housed in a historic building at 636 Race Street.
It offers contactless check-in, pet-friendly accommodations, a lobby bar The Exchange, and restaurant Khora.
Rooms range in size from the Denton Suite to the Bunk Room, each featuring custom-designed mattresses from Tennessee-brand MurMaid, a Kohler rainfall shower, and top-of-the-line mini fridge.
The hotel partnered with Cincinnati Art Underground to curate local art pieces for display throughout the property, and features a historic mural ‘Allegro’ on the outside of the building, originally painted by Barron Krody in 1971.
“Kinley will foster a sincere relationship between guests and Cincinnati,” said Kristopher Thomas, general manager. “Our warm, modern accommodations will emulate the comfort of home and inspire our guests to get out and explore the dynamic city around them.”
The Exchange will transform from daytime coffee service with bakery and pastry goods by executive pastry chef Megan Ketover to evening cocktails and bar snacks.
Khora will be led by executive chef Kevin Ashworth and chef Edward Lee, featuring a pasta-driven menu sourcing grains from the Ohio Valley and milled to order for the restaurant.
Mitch Patel, president and CEO of Viston Hospitality Group, commented: “Kinley will offer a unique lifestyle experience that blurs the line between its lobby and the neighbourhood, so guests can stay like a true Cincinnatian. The hotel’s offerings will appeal to the entire community and bring people together to create meaningful experiences every time they visit.”
