UK: The luxury Cube Hotel has hit the market at £12 million after its owners fell into administration last month in July.

Joint administrators Richard Easterby, Andrew Andronikou and Nick Simmonds of Quantuma Advisory Ltd were appointed on 12 July over MSHA Global Investments Ltd, which traded as The Cube Hotel.

Watling Real Estate and Graham + Sibbald have been appointed to market the long leasehold interest of the property in the region of £12 million.

The Cube Hotel remains open and operational. It features 52 bedrooms, an 180-cover Marco Pierre White branded restaurant, a rooftop bar, as well as private dining and function rooms.

Chris Davies, director in the Birmingham office of Watling Real Estate, said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a prime city centre hotel and well established restaurant in a landmark building.”

Hugh Anderson, partner within Graham + Sibbald’s hotel team, added: “The asset offers further branding opportunities and the potential to significantly enhance trading, capitalising on the panoramic views across Birmingham and the stunning outside terraces at level 25.”

The hotel is located on levels 23 and 24 of the Cube – a 25-storey mixed-use development with 135 residential apartments, 111,500-square-feet of offices, and a bowling centre.
