DUKES LONDON temporarily closes

UK: The luxury boutique hotel, located close to Buckingham Palace, is to close on Friday 20 March at 12pm for a duration of one month.

In a statement issued today, signed by Paul Skinner, general manager, it was announced that “new government restrictions mean that, with heavy hearts, we have taken the decision to close the hotel for the short term.”

After the one month closure, the hotel will review its position in anticipation of re-opening.

“While our doors are closed, we will be dreaming up new menus for GBR (Great British Restaurant)… titivating our Afternoon Teas… ready to welcome you back with open arms,” the statement read.

Any pre-paid reservations will be converted into credit to re-book at the hotel once it is back up and running, and bookings made between now and 31 May 2020 for stays between 1 June and 31st August are to receive a 20 per cent discount.

“At this extraordinarily difficult time our hearts go out to our guests, clients and staff alike – as well as to the travel and hospitality industries worldwide: businesses so badly affected and working so hard to weather the storm. By keeping safe, we will ride this wave together and we look forward to celebrating summer with you once our doors are finally open again.”
