Dunstane House joins Pride of Britain Hotels

UK: Pride of Britain Hotels has announced that the family-run boutique hotel Dunstane House in Edinburgh, has joined its collection of independently-owned UK hotels.

Located in Edinburgh’s West End, Dunstane House is described as a refined and contemporary-in-style five-star hotel housed in a Victorian town house which dates to 1865.

The hotel features 16 newly-refurbished bedrooms (including four Suites) featuring handmade Vispring beds with Egyptian cotton bedlinen, velvet Chesterfield sofas, Persian rugs, original Scottish artwork, Nespresso coffee machines, Roberts radios, flat-screen TVs, Noble Isle products and high-speed Wi-Fi. Each of the four suites – named Orkney Suites, referencing the owners’ family roots – boast four-poster beds, decadent freestanding copper roll-top baths or wonderful views across the city.  The hotel also offers the benefit of free parking on site for its guests.

Shirley and Derek Mowat, owners of Dunstane House, said: “We are delighted to have been accepted into Pride of Britain Hotels’ prestigious hotel collection.”

Peter Hancock, chief executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Dunstane House to Pride of Britain Hotels. This is our fifth Scottish member in the collection, and our first member hotel in the wonderful city of Edinburgh.”

Dunstane House is part of The Dunstane Houses, along with sister property Hampton House.
