UK: Hospitality company Experimental Group has opened its first hotel outside of London in the UK, located in the Cotswolds countryside.
Cowley Manor Experimental is situated on 55 acres and offers 36 rooms and suites, a spa, restaurant, bar, lounge, and a library.
Experimental acquired the property in 2022 which has since undergone a refurbishment, led by interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon and architecture firm De Matos Ryan.
The new restaurant and cocktail bar at Cowley Manor has been created in collaboration with chef Jackson Boxer. The team have focused on evolving the kitchen garden, growing wider varieties of produce and increasing its size.
C-Side Spa has reopened following an interior refresh. It features two pools (indoor and outside), a sauna, steam rooms, a fitness centre, and five treatment rooms with products supplied by Monu Skin.
The Experimental Group operates four Experimental Cocktail Club bars in Paris, London, Venice and Verbier; live music restaurant and bar in London, Stereo; three wine bars, Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels, in Paris, London and New York City; and 11 hotels, beach clubs and restaurants in London, Cotswolds, Biarritz, Paris, Ibiza, Verbier, Menorca and Venice.
The opening follows Experimental Group’s two European openings – Montesol Experimental in Ibiza and Regina Experimental in Biarritz this summer.
