Hotel Chadstone Melbourne to open this November

Australia: Hotel Chadstone is an MGallery by Sofitel property, and will be the only five-star hotel in south-east Melbourne.

The $130 million hotel has been designed in collaboration with global architecture studios DWP, EDG and Bates Smart.

Its 12-storeys comprises 250-bedrooms and suites, two penthouses, a rooftop bar and dining, as well as a wellness retreat and day spa complete with LED lounge and yoga studio.

Scott Pickett will head the kitchen team in Pastore – an Italian-inspired, all-day dining venue with a focus on woodfire cooking and handmade pasta.

A custom-designed, seven-tier wine glass chandelier hovers above the rooftop bar, Altus, which serves classic cocktails overlooking Port Phillip Bar.

Fiona Mackenzie, Chadstone director, said: “Hotel Chadstone will offer visitors and guests luxurious and exceptional experiences from the finest cuisine, to our world-class spa and wellness retreat, to elegantly designed rooms, spacious suites or penthouses which offer the ultimate rooftop escape.”

“Demonstrating our commitment to continually evolve Chadstone, the hotel will capitalise upon and enhance Chadstone’s proven international and domestic appeal which sees 24 million people visit us each year, including more than half a million international visitors,” Mackenzie remarked.

Once open, Hotel Chadstone Melbourne will become the 11th MGallery hotel in Australia and will be joining Hotel Lindrum Melbourne and Harbour Rocks Hotel in Sydney, amongst others in Europe and south-east Asia.

Accor’s MGallery by Sofitel is a collection of boutique and luxury hotels, many of which have hosted historic figures or iconic poets and authors.
