Finland: Marking the first hotel in Finland under Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection, the Hotel Maria is due to reopen this winter following a €62 million redevelopment.

The hotel’s spa also features a Finnish sauna, a steam, cold and warm water plunge pools, a jacuzzi, four treatment rooms, and a bar. The Wellness Club will open in spring 2024 as a fitness space.

Additional services include a private butler services, dog and babysitting, personal shoppers, as well as an Experience Manager to curate and deliver excursions in Finland.

The Garden Terrace will serve Nordic and international cuisine whilst the main restaurant Lilja will provide a French menu. The Valley private dining room is available for up to 12 people. Cocktails, champagne and caviar will be served at Bar Maria.

Plans for the redevelopment also included sustainable features such as energy-efficient lighting, indoor climate control, and renewable energy sources. A recycling program and local partnerships also form part of the hotel’s operation.
