Real estate private equity partner Slättö acquired the Hotel Rivoli Jardin and has appointed Bob W as the property’s operator.
The hotel will be transformed into Bob W Kaarti and will offer 55 rooms and suites with kitchenettes, a social kitchen and coworking space, and a sauna. The building’s historical features will be retained, overseen by interior design agency KoKo3 Helsinki.
As part of the refurbishment, Bob W Kaarti aims to be LEED certified with a scheduled opening in 2024. It will be available for short and long-term stays and brings the total number of properties under management by Bob W to 32.
Emilia Malmi, Bob W CEO Northern Europe, said: “We are excited to join forces with Slättö in transforming this iconic Helsinki property. By intertwining its historical charm with a genuine local design narrative and an unwavering commitment to quality, we’ll seamlessly integrate our cutting-edge technology and sustainable operations to elevate the experience for today’s discerning guests and contribute a fresh perspective to Helsinki’s accommodation landscape.”
Erik Möller, head of hotels from Slättö, said: “There is significant value creation potential in hospitality real estate in the current market. We are seeing an increase in coliving trends, with people travelling for work and pleasure, over both shorter and longer periods.
