Spain: The Gran Hotel Montesol, Ibiza’s first purpose-built hotel, has reopened after an extensive renovation.
Part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, the property originally opened in 1933 and has since been declared an asset of cultural interest by UNESCO.
Open year-round, the Ibiza Town property offers 33 guest rooms which have been decorated by interior designer Lazaro Rosa-Violan. Most rooms offer views of the old town and harbour.
A bespoke concierge service offers help planning and managing trips prior to and during a guest’s stay, including restaurant reservations, yacht rentals, diving experiences and more.
The hotel also has a partnership allowing guests to reserve private meeting rooms at the nearby Ibiza Archaeological Museum, and can arrange meetings aboard private yachts with catering from the hotel’s food and beverage team.
On the ground floor of the hotel is Café Montesol. Its cocktail bar offers a street terrace overlooking Vara de Rey Boulevard, and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
