Indonesia: Hotel group IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to launch the first property under the Kimpton brand in Indonesia, with Kimpton Bali Ubud scheduled to open in early 2026.
Developed in partnership with PT Mustika Adiperkasa and GHS K.K., the 101-key hotel will also mark IHG’s first opening in Ubud, expanding its luxury and lifestyle footprint in the country.
Located along the sacred Wos River and within walking distance of Ubud Palace, the hotel aims to integrate nature and Balinese heritage across its design.
Kimpton Bali Ubud will feature three restaurants and a café/deli, including IMAMURA, led by Michelin-starred Chef Imamura, bringing Japanese dining to the island.
Wellness amenities will include a gym, spa, and pool.
The launch will add to IHG’s growing Indonesian portfolio, which currently includes 31 hotels and 11 in the pipeline, and will join luxury and lifestyle brands in the market such as Regent Bali Canggu and Six Senses Uluwatu.
Founded in 1981 in San Francisco, Kimpton brought its design-forward lifestyle hotels beyond the US, across Asia and Europe, with upcoming openings including Kuala Lumpur, Riyadh, Hainan and Marbella.
