UK: Following a renovation of the communal areas and guest rooms, Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel will also launch the Wild Heart Shokudo restaurant with chef Garry Hollihead.

The renovation, costing nearly £500,000, includes most of the bedrooms, the rooftop, restaurant, and the addition of a new members club due to open in August.

In partnership with three time Michelin star chef Garry Hollihead, the Wild Heart Bar & Shokudo will serve a Japanese menu using local, British ingredients. Sharing dishes will be available throughout the hotel, room service, on the roof terrace and in the member’s lounge.

Sake and oriental inspired cocktails complement the menu. Afternoon tea with a Japanese twist will be served on Saturdays only.

A revolving art collection featuring local and international artists will be on display in the restaurant. Currently, artwork from singer-songwriter Chrissie Hynde is exhibited.

CEO of Karma Sanctum Soho, Mark Fuller, commented: “This restaurant and menu were born out of my own and my wife’s admiration for Soho’s strength, rock ‘n’ roll spirit and our deep love for Japanese food. We want it to be both a discreet and inspired location that would welcome both Soho’s own and global artists in any time of the day; and for our guests; any time of the night as our bar stays open to serve 24/7.”

Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel is family-run by Fuller and his wife Sherene. The hotel is part of the Karma Group and has a sister property Karma Sanctum on the Green in Cookham Dean, Berkshire.
