Spain: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open the brand’s first resort hotel in Mallorca this summer.

Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, located in the town of Santa Ponsa, will offer 79 rooms with private balconies, a rain shower, separate bath tub, and complimentary access to the hotel’s spa.

Maison CODAGE Paris will include an indoor pool, mud baths, sauna, a salt cave, and seven treatment rooms.

The property’s two outdoor pools provide access to ZAYT Pool Kitchen & Garden Deli. The second dining venue, SABA Restaurant, Bodega & Bar will serve Spanish tapas and sushi. Here, an open kitchen with 14 seats allows guests to watch their food being prepared by the chefs.

Activities at the resort include workshops with resident artisans on the island, as well as fitness and wellness experiences such as road cycling, guided mediation and yoga.

Alejandro Bautista Gómez, general manager, at Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, said: “The whole team has been working hard to get the hotel ready to welcome its first guests, and we are excited to be opening our doors for the first time very soon. At Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, we have thoughtfully combined touches of local tradition with modern art and culture, establishing an environment that exceeds the needs and desires of today’s traveller to build an unforgettable experience.”

Tom Rowntree, VP of global luxury brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “At IHG Hotels & Resorts, we’ve spent the last few years finessing our luxury and lifestyle portfolio to ensure that guests can discover the right brand to suit their voyage. We’re excited to welcome the Kimpton Aysla Mallorca to the Kimpton family. This opening officially establishes our resort presence in Europe, welcoming travellers to the island with Kimpton’s beloved perks, unexpected touches, and heartfelt service.”

Seven upcoming Kimpton properties are set to open in city and resort locations this year. The brand is set to debut in Bali with more hotels in the pipeline for Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and the Netherlands in the next three to five years.
