Luxembourg: The latest Mama Shelter property marks the 13th international opening of the brand, joining hotels in London, Belgrade, Los Angeles, Lille and Rio de Janeiro.
Located in the heart of Kirchberg, the city’s business and cultural centre, Mama Luxembourg will comprise 145 rooms, a bar, a restaurant, and rooftop communal space.
For the first time, Mama Shelter will also launch a Mama Works in its building. Spread over two floors, the space includes meeting rooms, communal working areas and shared desks, a bakery, and is complete with a ‘CineMama’ showing regular film screenings.
The ceilings of the communal areas are decorated with graffiti by renowned French artist Beniloys, and each guestroom has been designed by MAMA’s in-house team.
Complimentary films and products from the organic MAMA SKIN range, designed in partnership with French skincare brand Absolution, can be found in guest rooms.
The restaurant menu has been created in collaboration with chef Jean Edern Hurstel.
Guests can also order food from the hotel’s rooftop terrace which comes complete with an island bar and fire pit.
Jérémie Trigano, CEO of Mama Shelter, said: “Luxembourg is as beautiful as it is cosmopolitan. We knew that combining these features with MAMA’s fun personality meant we would get a truly explosive result.”
Serge Trigano, president of Mama Shelter, added: “Luxembourg is largely known as a financial hub. The Mama group wants to contribute actively to the discovery of the country’s culture, its landscapes and its castles. Bankers or teams from great financial institutions as well as Luxembourgers will always be most welcome and free to visit the Mama whenever they wish, to shed their suits and enjoy a meal or a cocktail in our restaurant or on our rooftop.”
Founded by the Trigano family and world-renowned designer Philippe Starck in 2008, Mama Shelter first launched in Paris before expanding domestically and then internationally.
Upcoming locations include Bucharest, Bahrain, Dubai, Santiago de Chile, Rome and Lisbon.
