Montenegro: Opening 1 July 2020, One&Only Portonovi marks the group’s foray into Europe, and will feature Chenot Espace – a first-of-its-kind wellness concept.
Located on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, at the entrance of Boka Bay, Portonovi is designed to reflect the architectural style of the old Venetian palaces of the region.
Comprising 113 guest rooms that each feature modern fireplaces, the accommodation will offer views of the surrounding marina, bay and mountains.
Its Suite One, a one-bedroom Presidential suite, comes with a private wine cellar where guests can choose to stock a personal selection of 268 bottles from around Europe.
The resort also offers two villas: the three-bedroom Villa One and two-bedroom Villa Two, each set within its own garden with outdoor shower and private pool, as well as a hydrotherapy pool.
Various interconnecting options between the accommodation types is available for groups and families seeking flexible space.
Sabia by Giorgio Locatelli, the Michelin-star chef’s first restaurant in the region, will serve Riviera-style Southern Italian cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood and vegetables.
Other dining venues include Tapasake Club, a pool club serving pan-Asian, tapas-style fusion cuisine’ La Veranda, with an open kitchen and live cooking stations; and Caminetti Bar, serving afternoon tea and modern bites alongside alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
Following an exclusive partnership with health and wellness brand Chenot, One&Only Portonovi will offer Chenot Espace – a “transformative journey of detoxing and resetting the body” based on the latest scientific advances and combining this with the best in Chinese and traditional medicines.
After an initial stage of consultation and advance diagnostic tests by medical professionals, guests will receive a bespoke programme involving nutritional consultants, detox menus, fitness schedules, targeted spa treatments, stress relieving activities, and more.
A selection of guest rooms and suites are located directly above the spa, offering privacy for those taking part in more intensive or longer treatment programmes.
Other facilities at Chenot Espavce includes hydrotherapy and cryotherapy facilities, a sauna and steam room, indoor pool, and relaxation areas.
A number of activities will be available across the resort for guests of all ages. There is a tennis club, a fitness centre, and yoga classes on-site, or guests can cruise the Adriatic coastline by yacht to speedboat to explore World-Heritage sites, beaches, and medieval towns of Perast and Kotor.
