US: Driftwood Hospitality Management has taken over Palihouse Miami Beach and rebranded the property as Hotel Trouvail Miami Beach, effective immediately.
Originally the Greenbriar Hotel, the property was relaunched as Palihouse Miami Beach in 2019 and has now been transformed into an independent brand, Hotel Trouvail. It is owned by Greenbrier Partners LLC and managed by Driftwood Hospitality Management.
Located on the Indiana Creek Waterway, the hotel offers 70 rooms and studios – most with kitchenettes – and is described as “melding hotel services and amenities with Airbnb-sized rooms”. A French-inspired restaurant will debut in early 2023.
Regional director of operations for Driftwood Hospitality Management, Scott Cornelius, said: “We are excited to bring this new concept which promises a more St. Tropez-meets-Miami experience. The rebrand will maximise the investment made in the interior of the building and elevate the property to a more sophisticated experience, appealing to a new, affluent clientele.”
Driftwood has 70 hotels under management across 20 brands including The Westin, Sheraton, Margaritaville, OYO and more. The team is headquartered in North Palm Beach, Florida with additional offices in Miami, Arizona and Costa Rica.
Before launching Driftwood, David Buddemeyer, the group’s current principal and president, served as chairman and CEO of Servico Hotels and Resorts.
