US: Philadelphia-based hospitality company Method Co will open the luxury boutique property The Pinch in Charleston this month.

The Pinch is housed in the former Bob Ellis buildings which were built in 1869, alongside one newly constructed building. The hotel sits on the intersection of King and George Street in historic Charleston.

Designed in partnership with New York-based Morris Adjmi Architects, the 25-room hotel comprises 22 luxury suites and three residences which are available for stays of 30 days or longer.

Rooms range from king and loft size to one and two bed suites. All feature a full kitchen and a bathroom with walk in shower, whereas the penthouse residence features a separate king bedroom, living and dining area with fireplace, as well as a private veranda.

Two forthcoming dining venues – an oyster and cocktail bar The Quinte, as well as a full-service French-inspired restaurant – are due to open later this summer.

When The Pinch launches, it will mark the second hotel outside of Philadelphia for Method Co.

Method Co is a development, design and branding firm. The group is behind the ROOST aparthotel brand, Wm. Mulherin’s Sons Restaurant & Hotel, and the HIROKI restaurant.

Target markets for Method Co include Detroit, Tampa, and Wilmington, DE.
