Portugal: Luxury golf resort Quinta do Lago has opened a Miami-style boutique hotel
The prestigious Portuguese resort Quinta do Lago has added a chic Miami-style boutique hotel to its portfolio of accommodation options.
Situated on the Algarve, a short drive from Faro airport, Quinta do Lago features three championship golf courses – Laranjal, the North and South.
Sean Moriarty, chief executive of Quinta do Lago, said: “We are delighted to have acquired the Magnolia hotel, which will provide our guests with a vibrant and chic base in which to stay while they experience our unique lifestyle resort. It adds perfectly to our outstanding golf facilities and burgeoning portfolio of world-class restaurants and amenities, which include The Campus, our state-of-the-art new sports facility.”
The 74-room Magnolia Miami-style boutique hotel features a fashionable bar and a revamped menu under the guidance of head chef Tom Briggs, previously of Soho House and the Hoxton Grill.
Following clean-eating trends, the hotel’s LIVE kitchen will serve freshly prepared dishes throughout the day, such as nutritional salads, superfoods and seasonal daily options.
Seven exclusive cottages will also be available at the Magnolia, complete with lounge, kitchen and sun terrace to compliment the stylish main bedrooms, while free transfers, early breakfasts, snack bags and special rates for group bookings are also available.
