Restauranteur Sam Fox announces foray into luxury hotels

The Global Ambassador

US: Restaurant brand developer Sam Fox will own, operate, manage and develop The Global Ambassador in Phoenix, set to open in 2023.

The Global Ambassador will feature 141 rooms along with five dining venues influenced by Mediterranean cuisine.

Other amenities include a Wellness Centre with a gym and spa, as well as a member’s club.

Newly-formed Author & Edit Hospitality Group will develop the hotel. The Global Ambassador marks the first hotel within the portfolio, and follows the opening of The Twelve Thirty Club – a multi-level dining and music concept in Nashville.

The hotel is being developed alongside business partner Brian Frakes of Common Bond Development Group.

Fox commented: “The Global Ambassador is a deeply personal, legacy project for me that furthers my pursuit of combining unmatched hospitality with culinary excellence. This is so much more than a hotel – it’s a luxury lifestyle brand that we hope will inspire and draw travellers from all over the world to explore Phoenix in a new way. The Global Ambassador is the natural evolution of my passion for creating memorable hospitality experiences.

“With The Global Ambassador, we are evolving luxury hospitality at every level and from every perspective in order to deliver something truly remarkable for the well-travelled set who is looking to be inspired and intrigued in an authentic and unexpected way. This is a convergence of significance found in hospitality, wellness and culture,” he added.

Nelsen Partners Architects has been hired as the lead architect, Berghoff Design Group will oversee the landscape architecture, and the interiors will be designed by Judi Testani of Testani Design Troupe.
