USA: The 364-room Pendry Chicago, located in the Loop neighbourhood, has officially opened.
Pendry Chicago includes a café, Venteux; a bar, Bar Pendry; The Billiard Gallery, and a rooftop bar debuting June 25, Château Carbide. There is also 13,000 square feet of meeting and event space and a fitness centre.
Venteux is located on the ground floor and is led by executive chef-partner Donald Young, a Chicago Michelin-starred chef. The restaurant will be overseen by Andy Masi and his Clique Hospitality group.
Studio Munge, led by Alessandro Munge, designed the building’s public spaces. Los Angeles-based, fashion designer, Heidi Merrick, designed the women’s uniforms for front desk as well as Bar Pendry associates.
Michael Fuerstman, co-founder and creative director, Pendry Hotels & Resorts said: “Reimagining this landmark building was an opportunity and an honour we approached with excitement and care. We are pleased to bring contemporary art and design, creative spaces and new dining experiences to the city.”

The Pendry Chicago is located near Chicago’s River Walk and the Magnificent Mile.
Pendry Hotels & Resorts is a hospitality brand from Montage International. It was founded by Alan J. Fuerstman and Michael Fuerstman.
