UK: From 9am-5pm every day of lockdown, The Berkeley London will be operating a drive through for front line essential workers serving tea, coffee and hot food.
During the last lockdown in England, the Belgravia-based luxury hotel rallied its staff to serve a range of refreshments to London’s key workers from 9am-11am.
Donations were made from the hotel’s suppliers, local neighbours, businesses and food halls.
In response to prime minister Boris Johnson placing England into a third national lockdown from Wednesday 6 January, general manager at The Berkeley Knut Wylde has regrouped the hotel team to reinstate the drive through and extend its operating hours.
Writing on LinkedIn, Wylde said: “Last lockdown we were overwhelmed and so grateful for so many incredible donations from neighbours, businesses, food halls and more. Should you or a friend wish to donate food, drinks or any other treats, we would be so grateful if you could contact us on BlueLights@the-berkeley.co.uk before delivering to The Berkeley, so that we can ensure your generous offerings are getting to our heroes when they need it most.”
