UK: Housed in the former Boswells department store on Broad Street, The Store in Oxford will launch in February 2024.
Boswells has been reimagined as a boutique hotel, delivered by Reef Group and EQ Group with interiors by Urban R. Oxford City Council approved plans for the conversion in January 2021.
The Store, Oxford now occupies seven floors across two buildings. It features 101 rooms of six categories, the Treadwell British restaurant, the ground floor multi-use space The Bar at The Store, rooftop cocktail bar The Roof at The Store, as well as the subterranean The Spa at The Store.
On The Roof, pop-ups will run throughout the year offering experiences such as an oyster and champagne pairing, wood-fired pizzas, and a variety of home-smoked produce. Chef’s Table dining experiences will be available throughout the year.
British brand Oskia will be used in treatments at the spa. Facilities include private treatment rooms and studio space for yoga classes, sound baths, and other experiences by appointment.
EQ Group is a European hospitality group headquartered in London. Most recently, EQ opened the Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs in Paris, a sister property to Hôtel Dame des Arts.
Reef Group revitalise cities through regeneration and place making. The Store in Oxford was delivered by Reef Group in partnership with La Salle Investment Management and Oxford City Council.
