UK: After falling into administration in January 2024, British hospitality group Flat Cap Hotels has put The Vicarage and The Bridge Hotel in Cheshire up for sale individually.

Property advisor Christie & Co has been appointed on behalf of joint administrators Gareth Prince, Mark Malone and Julian Pitts of Begbies Traynor, to market The Vicarage (offers in excess of £2.5 million) and The Bridge Hotel (offers in excess of £4.5 million) from the Flat Cap Hotels’ portfolio.

Flat Cap Hotels entered administration on 18 January 2024, noting the pandemic, inflation and challenging economic environment as the main factors.

Located in Carnage along the banks of the River Dane, The Vicarage is a 23-bedroom hotel offering a bar and restaurant, a library, games room, and external seating and parking.

The Bridge is a 27-bedroom hotel and restaurant located on the banks of the River Bollin in the village of Prestbury. It offers a lounge and restaurant, a riverside function suite, and gardens featuring an outdoor bar called The Shed.

Both properties have recently been refurbished.

Tom O’Malley, associate director – hotel broker at Christie & Co said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to market these two exceptional Cheshire hospitality businesses on behalf of the administrators. The properties are available as a package or individually and we anticipate wide-ranging interest from investors and operators both national and independent.”
