Mexico: Luxury all-inclusive resort collection, Velas Resorts, has opened its third property in Los Cabos.
Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos, located on the coast by the Sea of Cortez, is an all-inclusive, adults-only property. It cost $50 million to build and has been designed in collaboration with Ricardo Elias, principal of Elias and Elias Architects, Ernesto Vela, founder and director of Vela Ruiz Arquitectos, and Melin Castro, image director at Velas Resorts and director of the interior design firm M.C Design.
It offers 79 suites with garden or ocean views, and each private terrace comes with outdoor seating and a jacuzzi or plunge pool and fire pit. In-room amenities include a Nespresso Vert coffee machine, flat screen TV, Molton Brown toiletries, Dyson hair dryers and straighteners, an aromatherapy diffuser, and more.
Dining venues range from the Japanese restaurant Loto, seaside restaurant Del Mar, the Roca Bar and 51 Bar with the latter transforming from a grab-and-go breakfast offering to cocktails in the evening, and the Agave tasting room.
Guests can also dine at the five restaurants at sister property Grand Velas Los Cabos.
Opening in February 2024 is the SE Spa at Grand Velas Boutique. It will offer four treatment rooms, experiences such as infrared heat detoxification therapy, meditation, and sleep therapy in a specialised station, and a sauna, steam room, ice room, and jacuzzi. Brand partners include EviDenS de Beauté, Natura Bisse, and Babor.
For meetings and events, the hotel offers the Tamayo Ballroom which can be can be subdivided into three rooms, as well as the outdoor Terraza del Sol.
Now open, Grand Velas Boutique Hotel Los Cabos joins two other properties in Los Cabos and marks the seventh in the Velas Resorts portfolio.
