US: new San Francisco hotels debuts all-day restaurant and lounge
Villon is the first of three restaurant and bar concepts to debut at the new San Francisco Proper Hotel.
Situated on the ground floor of the Mid-Market historic flatiron building, Villon offers contemporary fare led by Executive Chef and Culinary Director Jason Franey. Chef Franey describes the food as “comfort geek” cooking.
Franey was named a Food & Wine Best New Chef in 2011, as well as the publication’s People’s Best New Chef: Northwest. In 2013 he was named one of 161 Relais and Châteaux Grands Chefs in the world.
Accompanying the culinary program is an expansive “7×7” cocktail menu by Josh Harris and Morgan Schick of BVHospitality.
