UK: The Master Innholders has appointed Tej Walia, managing director of Foxhills Club & Resort, as chair of the Hotel Leadership Conference, 11-12 January 2027.
The 2027 theme – Unbreakable: The Human Advantage – will explore practical and strategic guidance on how to create a resilient people-focused business.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Karen Turton, CEO and founder, Purple Story
- Mamta Saha, business psychologist and director, Mamta Saha Consulting
- Scotty Mills, global keynote speaker and published author
- Kate Nicholls, chair, UKHospitality
- Jazz and Ed Ampaw-Farr, co-founders, Be Human First
“Hospitality has always been, and will always remain, a people business,” said Walia. “Technology and innovation will continue to transform our industry, but our ability to build culture, inspire teams and create memorable guest experiences remains our greatest competitive advantage.
“That’s why this year’s theme, Unbreakable: The Human Advantage, focuses on how businesses can build resilient teams, develop future leaders and create high-performing cultures. As our industry evolves, the organisations that succeed will be those that invest as deliberately in their people as they do in their operations.”
Tickets can be booked here, and are open to anyone in the industry with special rates for hoteliers and Master Innholders. The event is being held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
Any financial surplus generated by the Hotel Leadership Conference is donated to the Master Innholders Charitable Trust, which helps to fund Innholder Scholarships and the Innholder Graduates Programme.
