UK: Marking the second international opening for the brand, Virgin Hotels has announced plans for a hotel in Glasgow expected to open in 2022.
Located at 236-246 Clyde Street, the hotel will feature 242 rooms and suites, meeting and event space, multiple dining and drinking outlets, a restaurant, bar, social club and coffee shop, and communal work space.
The project will be completed in partnership with owner and developer Silk Property Group alongside Siggis Capital as the asset manager, architects 21st Architecture, and financial partner RM funds.

The property will join Virgin Hotels Chicago, Virgin Hotels Dallas, Virgin Hotels Nashville and the recently opened Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Additional openings include Virgin Hotels New Orleans this summer and Virgin Hotels New York City in autumn. Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and Miami are planned for 2022 and beyond.
The company is exploring hotel and office conversions and ground-up developments in Boston, Los Angeles, Austin, Seattle and London.
