Worldwide: EDITION Hotels has announced the opening of eight new properties by the end of 2022, located across three continents.
With 11 hotels worldwide currently, the planned openings will bring EDITION’s total portfolio to 19 hotels globally. Each new property will be individually developed in collaboration with a designer chosen specifically for that location, and will introduce food and beverage concepts from international chefs.
Upcoming locations include:
• Reykjavik (mid 2021)
Located in downtown Reykjavik by Old Harbour port, the hotel will comprise 253 guest rooms and suites designed by architect T.arch and interiors by Roman & Williams. The property will also include a rooftop, meeting and event spaces, a signature restaurant, bar and cafe, and a spa.
• Tokyo, Ginza (late 2021)
Marking the second EDITION hotel in Tokyo (following Toranomon in late 2020), the property will be situated just off Chuo Street. It will feature 85 guest rooms and suites, three food and beverage venues including a rooftop bar, as well as meeting studios and a fitness centre.
• Rome (late 2021)
Offering 95 guest rooms and suites, including a penthouse suite with a private terrace, this hotel will be located within a historical building designed by Cesara Pascoletti in collaboration with architect Marcello Piacentini.
Facilities will include a restaurant with outdoor dining space, a Punch Room Bar and a rooftop terrace, as well as event spaces, swimming pool, gym, and two treatment rooms.
• Dubai (late 2021)
Located opposite the Dubai Mall, this hotel will be designed with LW Design Group LLC. It will feature 275 guest rooms and suites, along with multiple food and beverage venues, a pool, spa and fitness centre, as well as events spaces and a flexible ballroom.
• Madrid (early 2022)
Marking the second EDITION hotel in Spain for the group (following Barcelona in 2018), this hotel will comprise 200 guest rooms and suites, five dining outlets, an outdoor pool, fitness centre and spa. Flexible studios for meetings and events will also be available.
• Tampa (early 2022)
Situated within a new 56-acre Water Street Tampa neighbourhood, the hotel will house 172 guest rooms and suits along with six dining venues. It marks the five US property under the EDITION brand, and will be designed by architecture firm Morris Adjmi in collaboration with Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Assoacties, with interiors by Roman & Williams.
• Riviera Maya, Kanai (mid 2022)
With 180 guest rooms and suites, the hotel is stated within the Kanai development on the beachfront. It will feature six food and beverage outlets, a spa, meeting spaces, as well as an outdoor deck for large scale events and parties.
• Doha (late 2022)
Opening in Doha’s central business district, the hotel will comprise 200 rooms and suites, three bars and a nightclub, as well as event space. It will also house 167 EDITION branded residences.
