UK: Luxury hotel, spa and health club group The Elysium Collection has launched in the UK, with debut openings across Cornwall, Surrey and the Lake District.
The collection has be founded by investment and management company BH Group, led by James Houlston. The group acquired Selsdon Park Estate, the former Birch Selsdon site, earlier this year, and in summer 2025 acquired five former Coast & Country Hotels.
Eventually, these properties are expected to join The Elysium Collection, with further details such as hotel name, amenities, and project partners to be revealed closer to launch.
The first hotel to open in the collection is the 56-bedroom Elysium St Mawes this autumn. The hotel has been repositioned from the Ship and Castle Hotel on Cornwall’s harbour front, led in collaboration with 3DReid – the studio behind Gleneagles.
The St Mawes hotel will also feature a TEMPLESPA, with additional spa partners set to be appointed at future properties.
Dining across the collection will be led by executive chef Stephane Delourme, formerly head chef at Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant for over two decades and later group chef for the wider restaurant group.
Houlston said: “When developing The Elysium Collection, we wanted to reflect how people travel today. Guests are more time-conscious than ever, and they’re seeking value not just for their money, but for their time. That became our guiding principle, to deeply understand our guests, ensuring that from the moment they arrive, everything has been thoughtfully curated, allowing them to immediately switch off, settle in, and feel they are exactly where they want to be.”
