APAC: Hotel Indigo is set to open 55 hotels with 10,375 keys over the next few years, predominantly in China.
IHG’s Hotel Indigo brand is set to open 91 hotels by the end of 2024. Next year, at least one third of this total (31 hotels) are scheduled to launch globally.
Asia Pacific is marked as the top region of growth for the brand. It accounts for over half of the planned openings, with China expected to see 44 openings.
This includes Hotel Indigo Xi’an Chanba Tengxun, the brand’s first property in North West China. The 200-room hotel will occupy one of six towers as part of a new development, and is slated to open in early 2023. One of the latest properties to open in China is Hotel Indigo Diqing Moonlight City.
Also in the APAC region and set to open around the same time is Hotel Indigo Jakarta Pantai Indah Kapuk. It marks the first site in Jakarta for the brand and will offer 1,076 square metres of flexible meeting space, hosting up to 375 guests.
First announced in 2018, Hotel Indigo Auckland will open late next year. It forms part of a 131-metre high mixed-use development on Albert Street, comprising residential apartments, restaurants and bars too.
