EU: Real estate development and investment firm Omnam Group has partnered with investment platform Mohari Hospitality to target lifestyle and luxury hotels throughout Europe.
Omnam’s hotel portfolio includes W Rome, Four Seasons Puglia, Baccarat Hotel Florence (in development), as well as additional projects in Lake Como, Rotterdam, Paris and Amsterdam.
Mohari has recently invested in Mint House after it led a $35 million funding round in the extended-stay startup. Other notable brands in Mohari’s portfolio include The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, 1 Hotel Toronto, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences Miami, and more.
J. Allen Smith, managing partner at Mohari Hospitality, said: “We are excited to partner with David and the Omnam team who have demonstrated a unique ability to identify and develop exceptional properties in some of the most sought after markets in Europe. The combined capabilities of our two firms creates a platform with tremendous growth potential.”
David Zisser, CEO and founder of Omnam Group, said: “We are proud to have joined forces with Mohari Hospitality. Omnam will continue to create dynamic experiences which celebrate their destinations while remaining committed to conserving and honouring our environment. In a culture detoxing from the Instagramification of every moment — we’re creating space for the delight in between the big moments.
“The combination of Mohari’s capital capabilities and leadership team, under the direction of Mark Scheinberg and J. Allen Smith, is first class, and will allow us to grow as we always have – with full attention to detail, not missing a beat. With this announcement, we also take this opportunity to welcome J. Allen Smith, Mohari’s managing partner and former president and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, to Omnam’s board of directors.”
The partnership between Omnam and Mohari follows Omnam’s joint venture with Bain Capital in October 2021 to develop the former Hotel Britannia Excelsior in Lake Como. Zisser said: “Today’s announcement is a natural extension of our robust existing capital collaborations which have laid the foundation for cohesive and thoughtful developments to date. We remain committed to our long standing capital partners, who have brought us this far, and will continue along the journey.”
