SDDE and IHM join forces for 2022

Dale Smith at Urban Living Festival 2021

UK: SDDE Smith Group (SDDE) and its portfolio of brands will be headline and partnership sponsors of the Urban Living Festival, 6-7 July 2022, hosted by International Hospitality Media (IHM).

SDDE will raise the profile of three of its customer facing brands at ULF: Host & Stay, Styled Interior Design, and CoStays. The event will bring together an audience of owners, investors and operators that are the driving force behind the convergence of numerous hospitality and real estate asset classes.

The partnership highlights the increasing importance of flexible space and interior design as the sector evolves and the lines between hospitality, living and working space become blurred – a trend that has accelerated since the pandemic.

As part of the collaboration, SDDE and IHM will work together across the latter’s various platforms: Boutique Hotel News, Serviced Apartment News, and Short Term Rentalz. This will include webinar appearances, podcasts, digital adverting and a series of curated thought-leadership Feed Your Mind events throughout the year.

Dale Smith, founder and CEO of The SDDE Smith Group, said: “We’re hugely excited to be working with IHM across a number of our SDDE Smith Group brands this year. Piers and his team are highly regarded within the hospitality and accommodation sectors and I believe our Host & Stay, Styled Interior Design and CoStays businesses will all benefit greatly from this partnership as they look to consolidate their positions in their respective markets.

“Given the breadth of real estate related brands we have within The SDDE Smith Group portfolio, the Urban Living Festival aligns perfectly with our vision of what the future holds for the living and working environments. The blurring of the lines between short lets, residential lets and flexible working is moving at a rapid pace and we feel therein lies a huge opportunity for all stakeholders.”

George Sell, editor-in-chief at IHM, added: “This partnership is a great example of how hospitality and real estate brands are recognising and embracing the convergence of asset classes that we at IHM are so so excited about. We’re delighted to be working with Dale and his team, and look forward to a great year of mutually beneficial activity with them.”
