Puerto Rico: Boutique hotel Magdalena 1163 has opened in Puerto Rico’s Condado district, developed by María Isabel Esteve and Carlos López-Lay.

Magdalena 1163 features 10 suites spread across four floors, offering a mix of studio, deluxe and two-bedroom layouts. Each suite features a kitchenette and flexible lighting.

The hotel has been designed to “appeal to travellers seeking a quieter, more refined alternative” to larger resorts. Amenities include a rooftop lounge and terrace, meeting space for small groups, a fitness area, and communal areas designed for both work and relaxation.

Magdalena 1163 also incorporates artwork by Puerto Rican artists and partnerships with nearby restaurants and businesses. Guests have access to concierge-style services, 24/7 digital guest support, and on-site amenities including breakfast service and parking.

The property represents a new hospitality venture for the founders, who bring experience from the automotive sector and have positioned the hotel as a boutique alternative within the growing Condado hospitality market.
