Sweden: Ruby Hotels has opened its first property in Sweden with the launch of Ruby Frida in Stockholm, located in the city’s Kungsholmen district near Fridhemsplan.
The 187-room Ruby Frida hotel is housed in a 1960s-era building that has been transformed into a mixed-use site, which features an office, retail, and restaurant spaces.
Hotel amenities include social areas, a 24-hour bar with cocktails and coffee, guest rooms with Marshall amps and Bluetooth speakers, as well as live performances in the evening.
Some of the rooms are windowless while select rooms feature private balconies overlooking Stockholm.
Michael Struck the founder and chief executive officer of Ruby Group, said: “Ruby Frida is closely connected to Stockholm’s creative spirit, with a design and atmosphere shaped by the city’s music heritage. It’s crafted to feel authentic to the city and easy to enjoy.”
The brand currently has 40 open and pipeline hotels around the world and will look to grow to more than 120 hotels over the next 10 years.
