The Netherlands: Boutique hotel group The Zetter Collection will expand beyond the UK for the first time with the opening of The Zetter 717 Amsterdam in early 2027.
Occupying a historic canal house on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed Canal District, the 24-bedroom property was originally built in 1810.
It will be redesigned by James Thurstan Waterworth, who also led the design of The Zetter Bloomsbury.
Alongside guest rooms, two communal spaces include the conservatory-style Garden Room and The Library.
“The move into Amsterdam is an incredibly exciting moment and a natural next step for the collection,” says Kevin Rockey, managing director of The Zetter Collection. “717 is a very special property, beloved by locals, with a rich history that feels perfectly aligned with what we have always sought to create at The Zetter.
“Our ambition is to respect the character of the building and the neighbourhood while bringing our own approach to warm, intuitive hospitality. We’re looking forward to introducing The Zetter to a new city and, just as importantly, becoming part of the local community here in Amsterdam.”
Yara Al Hattouni has been appointed general manager of The Zetter 717 Amsterdam.

- Under the direction of managingdDirector Kevin Rockey, local general manager Yara Al Hattouni has been appointed to oversee operations and local integration for the group’s first property outside the UK.
