UK: Relais & Châteaux has launched MyImpact, a digital platform to help support its members’ sustainability actions across 65 countries.

By incorporating a global methodology with property-specific analysis and tailored recommendations, MyImpact allows hotels and restaurants to measure their carbon footprint, reduce emissions and implement sustainability initiatives.

Through MyImpact, members can simulate their inputs on carbon emissions in real time. The platform also estimates the potential emissions reduction associated with each recommended action. Members can therefore assess the likely impact of different measures before implementing them. Within the first year of rollout, 39 per cent of the association’s members have already completed their carbon footprint assessment.

MyImpact is designed as a long-term sustainability management platform to help reduce the hospitality industry’s greenhouse gas emissions. The platform brings together 580 independent properties in this initiative, while also providing goal recommendations tailored to each property’s local context.

In 2027, based on the carbon footprint assessments taken by its members, Relais & Châteaux will work to develop goal recommendations for each of its properties.

“For those at the start of their sustainability journey, the tool will unlock many quick wins. For those already advanced in their processes, they may be able to unlock vital new learnings and fine tune their policies,” said Eoin Walsh, General Manager, Relais & Châteaux Ballynahinch Castle Hotel & Estate, Ireland.

Sustainability remains on of Relais & Châteaux’s key quality criteria. Alongside MyImpact, the association’s member properties are assessed every two years to make sure that they meet the group’s sustainability standards.

The association’s inspection questionnaire has included a sustainability score since 2025, reflected through awareness-raising practices, the promotion of local products and the visible management of resources. In 2027, the score will also assess operational practices via MyImpact.
