Nurturing talent

• Congratulations to Florence Alloing on her promotion to general manager of London’s Georgian House.

Alloing joined the property in December last year as reception and revenue manager and has clearly impressed owner Serena von der Heyde enough to be entrusted with the GM role.

The hotel is emerging as a great nurturing ground for industry rising stars – Alloing succeeds Adam Rowledge, who was one of the most dynamic and proactive young GMs in London, visible at industry events and winning the Independent Hotel Show 2018 Independent Hotelier award.

While at Georgian House, Rowledge himself was passionate about attracting the best talent to the hospitality industry and nurturing those people in their roles, enabling them to progress and fulfil their potential.

Training, development and staff support were all key pillars of Georgian House under Rowledge’s tenure, and it’s great to see the property supporting those principles by recruiting from within.
