Thailand: Bangkok-based boutique hotel management company BHMAsia has expanded its sales and operations teams.

The company says the expansion is due to increased occupancy rates in the last nine months, with a larger percentage of bookings coming direct from its resorts’ own websites and media activities as opposed to OTAs. It has also introduced a training department for staff at all six hotel and resort properties it manages.

CEO Anthony McDonald said BHMAsia is actively looking to add to its portfolio of hotels and resorts in SE Asia: “There is a big need for high quality, international standard hotel management in the market. Most large chains focus on large luxury properties, but we have found a nice niche in the 20-150 room market, below that where the major chains tend to operate.”

“The main attraction owners saw in BHMAsia was that we have our own brands X2 Resorts and Away Resorts, which can make marketing and sales highly effective for even a small property. With years of experience and a dedicated team of professionals in every corner of the field, BHMAsia offers the complete scope of services to match the owners/investors’ exact requirements,” he added.

The company’s philosophy reads: “Being boutique is about knowing. Knowing the guest, knowing your staff and knowing the owners. It’s about knowing their needs, their wants, their inspirations. The ‘Boutique Experience’ is one when you are known”.
