US: Remington Hotels has appointed Willis Cheng as SVP of business development, bolstering the third-party management company’s leadership team.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Willis to the Remington Hotels family and we look forward to his contributions toward our continued, aggressive third-party management growth strategy,” said Jarrad Evans, chief investment officer of Remington Hotels. “Willis brings a strong network of industry capital partners, as well as a significant track record in both premium branded and independent hotels and resorts. He will be a key player supporting our future growth plans.”
A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Cheng joins from Evolution Hospitality where he served as vice president of business development for three years. He also brings experience with brands including the Hotels & Hospitality Group at Jones Lang LaSalle and the Commercial Real Estate: Hospitality Finance Group at Wells Fargo Bank.
In his new role, Cheng will utilise over a decade’s worth of experience in sales, finance and hospitality development to support Remington Hotels’ rapid expansion. The company has steadily grown its portfolio throughout 2021 and will continue to announce new management agreements with boutique and lifestyle hotels across the country in the coming months.
