US: 106 Jefferson, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, has opened in downtown Huntsville, Alabama.

The boutique hotel comprises 115 rooms, a rooftop lounge Baker & Able, onsite restaurant Revivalist, flexible event space including a ballroom, a 24-hour fitness centre with outdoor terrace, and a 24-hour business centre.

In celebration of the opening, the property will donate 10 per cent of all food sales to local charitable organisations. These include HEALS, a non-profit that provides underprivileged children with free dental and medical care, and Madison County 310 Board, and organisation that supports residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Additionally, 106 Jefferson has partnered with St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Huntsville Hospitality for Women and Children. Darcy Speegle, a four-year old patient battling leukaemia, will receive the accolade of the property’s first guest.

In the guest rooms and suites, there’s a 55” HD TV, Gilchrist & Soames bathroom amenities, a Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, and beds offer a custom Serta Suite Dreams mattress and down pillows.

“We are so excited to bring Huntsville its first lifestyle hotel,” said Mary Beth Lewis, director of sales and marketing, 106 Jefferson. “We are shining a bright light on this community by ensuring our guests feel the spirit of the city’s culture within these walls. From the location accessible to many attractions to the unique offerings, and to our commitment to giving back to the community, our guests are sure to enjoy an authentic, one-of-a-kind experience.”

Lewis joined the hotel in June this year, along with Hugo Reyes Duran as general manager.

“We’re thrilled to welcome 106 Jefferson to the Curio Collection portfolio, and celebrate the addition of this remarkable hotel to Huntsville’s one-of-a-kind community,” said Jenna Hackett, global brand head, Curio Collection by Hilton. “Curio Collection properties are each handpicked to offer guests an authentic experience by integrating the community into the hotel, and 106 Jefferson is a perfect example. From localised artwork to uniquely curated food and beverage offerings, travellers experience the essence of Huntsville that they cannot find anywhere else.”

106 Jefferson is part of Hilton Honors, the chain’s guest-loyalty program. The property joins over 100 hotels and resorts in nearly 30 countries under the group’s Curio Collection brand.
