Scotland: Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners has announced the acquisition of the 83-key hotel in North Berwick, Scotland.
Located 24 miles from Edinburgh, the Marine Hotel overlooks the West Links golf course at the North Berwick Golf Club, and offers views of the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock.
The property will undergo renovations in autumn 2020, transforming the hotel into 89 bedrooms, and introducing two food and beverage concepts, meeting and event space, an indoor-outdoor spa and a fitness centre.
The hotel’s interiors will take inspiration from the Scottish coast’s world-renowned golf courses and notable figures.

The Marina Hotel was owned by companies controlled by the Macdonald family and managed by Macdonald Hotels. It marks the third acquisition by AJ Capital from the Macdonald Hotel & Resorts portfolio.
AJ Capital recently acquired the Randolph Hotel in Oxford, which will join the Graduate Hotels collection in early 2021.
AJ Capital Partners, based in Chicago, is an investment firm that acquire, design and develop real estate throughout the US and the UK. In 2014, it launched its Graduate Hotel collection.
