France: Luxury hotel and resort brand Anantara has announced its French debut with the opening of Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel.
Centrally located at the entrance to Nice’s Golden Square, Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel overlooks Albert 1er gardens and the Promenade des Anglais.
Architectural firm David Collins Studio, local architect Jean-Paul Gomis, and TBC Studio designed the interiors of the hotel, which has undergone a two year renovation. The original building first opened in 1848 with the new design honouring the neo-classical style.
Now complete, it has 151 rooms including 38 suites, a spa, a seminar space with six meeting rooms, a ballroom, and a rooftop restaurant with a bar and a panoramic view of the Baie des Anges and Old Nice.
Guests can book the 54 square-metre Baie des Anges Signature Suite which comes with a living area, a kitchenette and a terrace. The 75 square-metre Presidential Suite has views of Baie des Anges and is designed for sunbathing and private celebrations.
The Anantara Spa offers five treatment rooms, a hammam and a sauna. Essential oils form the Grasse region have been sourced for massages, including the hotel’s signature “Coucher de Soleil” oil. Additional facilities include a 24-hour gym.
For events, Anantara Plaza Nice can accommodate up to 300 people for large gatherings. Bespoke private dinners, rooftop weddings and celebrations can also be arranged.
