UK: Plans have been submitted for a hotel conversion for a 1635 Grade II listed building in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

A luxury 88-bedroom hotel is proposed with function facilities to cater for almost 300 people, spa treatment rooms and a restaurant. The building sits in more than seven hectares of parklands and has been used as a college, wedding and events venue.

A planning application has been submitted by Commercial Development Projects (CDP), with the intention that Bespoke Hotels will be the operator. The project could create up to 150 jobs.
