UK: Castlebridge Hospitality has signed a management agreement with Hotel Exe Limited to open and operate the Hotel Indigo Exeter.

Castlebridge Hospitality has opened and currently operates three Hotel Indigo properties: Hotel Indigo Bath, Hotel Indigo Chester, and Hotel Indigo Stratford upon Avon. The Exeter site will be the group’s fourth Indigo hotel.

The 104-bedroom hotel will open in the summer of 2022. On the ground floor there will be a restaurant and a bar. On the basement level, there will be a sports bar. There will also be a rooftop bar, a lounge, and a spa with five treatment rooms.

Prior to reconstruction, the hotel was the House of Fraser department store. The project will be developed by Hotel Exe Limited.

Simon Hall, Castlebridge Hospitality’s operations director, said: “We are excited to be working with the team at Hotel Exe Limited to create what will be the city’s principal hotel. We love to deliver locally inspired and innovative restaurant and bar concepts and this hotel is a prime example of how Hotel Indigo draws on the local neighbourhood to inspire every aspect of the hotel, from intriguing design to locally inspired menus. Having recently developed and opened three of our own Hotel Indigo hotels, and with a further two in development, it’s great to strengthen our position as the leading manager of Hotel Indigo hotels in the UK and we look forward to welcoming guests in Exeter next year.”

Castlebridge Hospitality is a privately owned hotel group. It was formed in 2018 after merging St. James Hotel Group and Castlebridge Hotels.

Hotel Indigo has 88 locations open worldwide and a global pipeline of 86 hotels. Hotel Indigo belongs to the IHG Hotels & Resorts family, which includes 16 hotel brands.
