UK: Luxury Cheltenham hotel Ellenborough Park has unveiled The Lodge, its first self-catering accommodation.

Housed in a former gatekeeper’s lodge, the property offers an open-plan dining and lounge area, fully-equipped kitchen with a wood burner, a private garden, and an upstairs bedroom and bathroom.

It can accommodate two adults with a sofa bed providing additional room for two children. The property is also pet-friendly.

Guests of The Lodge will have access to facilities at Ellenborough Park including its two restaurants, indoor and outdoor social and dining spaces, and the spa.

Marwan Hemchaoui, general manager of Ellenbrough Park, said: “The renaissance of lodges and cottages is very prominent in the UK currently, so for us, this was an opportunity to provide a new self-catering experience at Ellenborough Park for our guests.

“The 19th century Lodge has been given a new spruce of life, snuggled in the corner of our extensive grounds, it is exclusive, it is private, and perfect for families as well as pet lovers. This addition is part of the next chapter for our hotel following a complete room refurbishment and brand-new Spa Garden Retreat, marking our last big project for 2023.”

Earlier this summer, Ellenborough Park launched The Garden Spa Retreat which features a private outdoor hot tub, sauna cabin and sun loungers.
