Four Points by Sheraton debuts in Tanzania

Tanzania: Marriott International launches new Four Points property

Marriott International has announced the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Arusha, The Arusha Hotel.

The Arusha Hotel was founded in 1894 and has emerged as a city landmark, playing host to numerous dignitaries and famous patrons over its 120 year history.
Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International said: “The entry of the Four Points brand into Tanzania is a significant addition to our rapidly growing footprint in Africa and reflects the strong traction the brand is gaining in the region. Tanzania has long been on the global travelers’ bucket list and the Four Points brand with its blend of stylish comfort and genuine service offers an ideal choice at an honest value.”

The 106 room hotel features spacious and contemporary rooms and suites. It also offers all-day dining, a coffee shop and houses the famous Hatari Bar, named after John Wayne’s safari epic.

Upjeet Singh Sahota General Manager, Four Points by Sheraton Arusha, The Arusha Hotel said: “Our vision is to reinvent the definition of travel, transforming the hotel into a preferred choice for guests whether on business or adventure. We are committed to creating memorable guest experiences by combining the signature brand experience with the hotel’s rich history, unique character and the city’s local attractions.”

Four Points is experiencing momentous growth, having recently crossed the 200th hotel milestone. In East Africa, the brand debued in Kenya earlier this year. The brand plans to open two more hotels, Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport and Four Points by Sheraton Dar es Salam, in the coming months.
